Power Outages
What to do During an Outage
Here are a few tips on how you can prepare for an outage and what you can do while we are restoring power:
- If your neighbor has power and you do not, or if you think you saw something that contributed to the power outage, call us at (305) 295-1010 right away.
- Keep flashlights and extra batteries available.
- Tune in to a battery-operated radio that will keep you up-to-date on the news and weather.
- Turn off all of your lights, except for one. Unplug appliances. Raise the thermostat. When the power comes back on, gradually turn on all of your lights, appliances, and air conditioner.
